
The Upper East Regional Chapter of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) has successfully organised its 2026 Proprietors’ Empowerment Summit, bringing together private school proprietors and key education stakeholders from all fifteen districts of the region.
The summit, held in an atmosphere of collaboration and professional development, attracted a large number of participants from across the Upper East Region and focused on strengthening private education through capacity building, strategic partnerships, and innovative leadership.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including the Upper East Regional Director of Education, Hajj Razak Z. Abdul-Korah; the Upper East Regional Director of the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA), Mr. Gilbert Alolbila; the Upper East Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare, Mr. Daniel Anaba; Proprietress of Great Victory Academy, Rev. Mrs. Comfort Quartey; and former Headmaster of Bolgatanga Senior High School, Mr. Didacus Afegra, who served as Special Guests of Honour.
In their goodwill messages, the dignitaries commended GNAPS for its dedication to promoting quality private education in the region. They also praised the association for maintaining strong collaborations with relevant institutions to advance educational excellence, child welfare, and community development.
The summit featured insightful presentations by keynote facilitators, Rev. John Kennedy Akotia and Mr. Vincent Amponsah, who shared practical knowledge on strategic school leadership, innovative school management, institutional sustainability, and educational transformation.
Participants described the summit as highly impactful, inspirational, and beneficial, noting that the presentations provided relevant solutions and practical ideas to improve the management and performance of private schools.
Beyond the presentations, the summit also created an important platform for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among school proprietors and other stakeholders within the education sector.
The GNAPS Upper East Regional Executive Committee expressed profound appreciation to all guests, facilitators, participants, sponsors, and partners whose contributions ensured the success of the programme.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to empowering private school proprietors, strengthening private education, and fostering strategic partnerships aimed at improving educational outcomes in the Upper East Region and Ghana as a whole.
