Hon. Simon Aworigo Delivers on Campaign Promise with Desk Donation to Navrongo Central Schools

The Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, *Hon. Simon Aworigo, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving education in the constituency with the donation of *200 quality metallic dual desks to the Kassena-Nankana Municipal (KNM) Education Directorate.

The donation, aimed at addressing the persistent challenge of inadequate furniture in basic schools, forms part of the MP’s broader pledge to support education as a cornerstone for sustainable development in Navrongo Central. According to Hon. Aworigo, the initiative is a fulfilment of a key campaign promise and reflects his long-term vision of enhancing teaching and learning outcomes across the municipality.

Speaking during the presentation, the MP emphasized that investment in education remains one of his top priorities, assuring constituents that such interventions will not be a one-off gesture. He pledged to continue providing annual logistical and educational support to schools within the constituency to help create a conducive learning environment for pupils and teachers alike.

Receiving the desks on behalf of the Ghana Education Service, the *Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Thomas Kanlisi, commended Hon. Aworigo for his consistency and dedication to educational development. He disclosed that *more than 400 pupils across the municipality have already benefited from similar donations made by the MP over time.

Mr. Kanlisi further revealed that, within the same day, Hon. Aworigo had redeemed several other campaign pledges, including donations to Navrongo Senior High School (NAVASCO) and Awe Senior High School, underscoring the MP’s practical approach to leadership and service delivery.

He used the opportunity to appeal to residents of Navrongo Central to continue supporting the MP, noting that such backing would enable him to attract and implement more development-oriented projects for the collective benefit of the constituency.

The latest donation has been widely welcomed by education stakeholders, parents, and school authorities, who view it as a timely intervention that will help reduce overcrowding in classrooms and improve comfort and concentration among pupils.

Hon. Aworigo’s gesture adds to a growing list of educational interventions in Navrongo Central and reinforces his image as a legislator committed to translating promises into tangible development outcomes.
