The Vice President of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited, Mr. Qi Xuanya, has called on residents of the Talensi District to support peaceful engagement and create an enabling environment for investment and development in the area.
Addressing concerns following the recent demonstration by members of the Talensi Mining Communities Initiative (TAMCI), Mr. Xuanya stated that the success of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited would serve as a positive example to attract more investors into the district and the country at large.
According to him, the company’s operations have the potential to position Talensi as a favourable destination for investment, job creation, and economic growth.
“The company serves as a business card for people and investors to look at and say that if Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited is operating successfully here, then it means other companies can also come and invest,” he stated.
Mr. Xuanya, however, expressed concern that frequent agitations and public confrontations could negatively affect investor confidence and discourage potential investors from exploring opportunities in the district.
He explained that investors are often attracted to areas where there is stability, cooperation, and mutual understanding between companies and host communities.
“The more investors see misunderstandings and conflicts, the more it creates fear and uncertainty. But when there is peace and cooperation, it encourages more investment and development,” he added.
He therefore appealed to community members to prioritize dialogue and collaboration in addressing concerns while working together with the company to ensure mutual growth and sustainable development for the people of Talensi.
