Chiana Pio Leads Delegation to Mourn Deputy NHIS CEO’s Mother in Navrongo

The Paramount Chief of the Chiana Traditional Area, Pe Dintudini Adiali Ayagitam III, popularly known as the Chiana Pio, on Saturday joined the bereaved family of the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to mourn the passing of their beloved mother at a solemn funeral ceremony held in Navrongo, in the Upper East Region.

The Chiana Pio, who also serves as President of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs and a Member of the Council of State, arrived at the funeral grounds with a distinguished entourage of traditional rulers, elders, and palace officials, underscoring the deep respect and solidarity of traditional leadership with the bereaved family during their moment of grief.

Clad in traditional mourning attire, the Paramount Chief paid his respects to the family and offered words of comfort, urging them to take solace in the impactful life lived by the deceased. He emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and communal support during periods of loss, values deeply rooted in Ghanaian tradition.

The presence of the Chiana Pio highlighted the strong bond between traditional authorities and public service institutions, reflecting mutual respect and shared commitment to national development. His participation also symbolized the collective mourning of the Upper East Region’s traditional leadership with one of its own, whose service at the national level has brought pride to the region.
