Friends of Prosper, a socio-political group in the Bolgatanga Municipality, has disclosed that it has awarded full educational scholarships to 15 underprivileged students in the area.
Speaking on Bluewaves Radio’s flagship programme, Bluewaves Breakfast Show, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the group revealed that the initiative forms part of its broader commitment to supporting education and empowering young people in the municipality.
According to the group, the scholarships cover beneficiaries from their first year through to completion at the tertiary level. “We have received numerous requests from individuals and groups seeking support. As we speak, we have granted scholarships to 15 students and are fully covering their tuition from their first year to their final year,” a representative stated.
The group emphasized that education remains a key priority in its development agenda, noting that it is determined to help brilliant but financially disadvantaged students achieve their academic goals and build successful futures.
In addition to the scholarship programme, Friends of Prosper highlighted its ongoing efforts to improve learning conditions in the municipality. These include the renovation of school facilities that were previously in poor condition, funded through the personal contributions of group members.
The group also used the platform to appeal to individuals, organizations, and other well-meaning stakeholders to support its initiatives. It called for partnerships and financial assistance to enable it to expand its interventions and reach more communities in need.
Friends of Prosper reiterated its commitment to driving development in the Bolgatanga Municipality, with a strong focus on education and community support initiatives.
