The Insha Allah Foundation, a non-governmental organisation established to support the poor and needy in the Kusaug area, has officially been launched with assistance provided to about 140 orphans and widows.

The beneficiaries were selected from the Bawku Municipality, Binduri District and Bawku West District through their respective Departments of Social Welfare.

The launch ceremony was held at Benguri School Park in the Binduri District on Thursday, July 16, 2026. As part of the Foundation’s inaugural activities, the beneficiaries received bags of rice, cooking oil, tomato paste and an undisclosed amount of money each.

Speaking to the media, the Programmes Manager of the Insha Allah Foundation, Ali Nashiru, said the organisation was established to provide relief and support to poor and vulnerable people across the Kusaug area.

He explained that the Foundation’s first intervention targeted orphans and widows, describing them as some of the most vulnerable members of society who require sustained assistance.

Mr. Nashiru said the initiative was made possible through the generosity of the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Awudu Fuseini, and pledged that the organisation would continue to support the poor, the needy, orphans and widows whenever resources are available.

He called on individuals and organisations to support the Foundation’s humanitarian mission to enable it to reach more vulnerable people in communities across Kusaug.
