“Youth Must Take the Lead” — Adongo Prosper Files for Upper East NDC Youth Organiser

Adongo Prosper has formally entered the race for Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress in the Upper East Region, pledging an intentional push to place young people at the centre of the party’s power structure.
Speaking after filing his nomination at the NDC Regional Office, Prosper said the regional youth wing must be deliberately strengthened. “We need to do this intentionally and consciously to position the Upper East Region, especially the regional youth wing in a very strong place,” he told party members and delegates. “I know the task is not easy, but we have done well. However, more needs to be done, and I am coming to do it.”
His agenda rests on two clear pillars: youth empowerment and leadership development. “We need to have our young people taking up positions,” Prosper emphasised.
He singled out recent appointments by President John Dramani Mahama as proof that the party is already investing in the next generation. Prosper specifically praised two young officials , Honourable Jacob Bolgatanga East DCE, and Francis Tobig of Nabdam for “holding the gate” and building public trust in young leadership. “You have kept the city intact, and I know whoever takes up Navrongo will keep it intact. For future generations to enjoy it, we will consolidate that seat forever,” he said.
Prosper also announced plans to broaden his own reach. “I think I have to move to the region to ensure that my scope is not too small. I need to extend my work to other parts of the region,” he stated, while commending the performance of Mahama-appointed District Chief Executives across the Upper East.
He described his campaign as “twin-track” and “issue-based,” promising results rather than rhetoric. “At the end, I will not let you down,” Prosper assured supporters.
With a message centred on expanding opportunities for young party members and consolidating the gains already made by youthful appointees, Adongo Prosper has framed his candidacy as both recognition of progress and a call for deeper investment in the next generation of NDC leaders.
