TEMPANE SHS PTA DONATES BRAND-NEW PICKUP TO SUPPORT SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Tempane Senior High School has donated a brand-new pickup vehicle to the school to strengthen administrative operations and support the effective delivery of educational services.

The vehicle was officially presented to the school on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the Headmaster, Mr Patrick Azumah Azanya, brought the vehicle to the Upper East Regional Director of Education, Mr Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, for his blessings, in keeping with customary practice.

The Regional Director expressed profound gratitude to the PTA for the thoughtful gesture and its continued commitment to the development of the school. He tasked the school’s Management to take good care of the vehicle and ensure that it was put to effective use for its intended purposes.

In his remarks, the Headmaster described the donation as a significant relief to the school, noting that the vehicle would enhance daily administrative operations, facilitate the transportation of examination materials during examination periods, and support the conveyance of sick learners to health facilities when necessary.

Mr Azanya emphasised that this was not the first time the PTA had supported the school. He disclosed that the Association had previously donated a Nissan pickup, which was currently grounded, as well as a TATA bus that remained operational. He commended the PTA for its sustained support and appealed for further assistance, particularly in addressing the school’s infrastructure needs.

He specifically highlighted the need for teachers’ bungalows, explaining that although the school had a staff strength of over 100, only six teachers were residing on campus. He described the situation as “woefully inadequate,” noting that the limited number of teachers on campus posed challenges to effective supervision and efforts to curb indiscipline among learners, especially at night.

The donation represents a significant contribution towards strengthening the school’s administrative capacity and improving learner welfare. The school’s Management has pledged to take good care of the vehicle and ensure that it contributes meaningfully to the effective administration of the institution.
