The Upper East Regional Education Office has successfully undertaken its monthly clean-up exercise, characterised by massive staff participation and the active involvement of the Regional Director of Education (RDE), Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, and the Deputy Regional Director of Education, John Ankoh.
The exercise saw officers working together to improve the cleanliness of the office environment. Activities included scooping sand from gutters, removing cobwebs, sweeping and mopping offices, and clearing the surroundings. Plastic waste was also disposed of through burning.
The RDE and Deputy RDE joined other officers in the exercise, demonstrating leadership by example and reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and healthy working environment.
At the end of the exercise, the Head of Logistics, Thomas Ayipaala, provided a crate of bottled water for the officers in appreciation of their efforts.
The monthly clean-up exercise is a long-standing tradition of the Regional Education Office, dating back to 2018 under the leadership of former Regional Director of Education, Augustine Gogoyire Ayirezang. The initiative has since remained part of the Directorate’s institutional practice, with the exercise scheduled for the last Friday of every month.
The Regional Education Office remains committed to sustaining this tradition and promoting a clean, healthy and welcoming working environment.
