The Paramount Chief of Talensi, His Royal Highness Tongraan Kugbilsong Nalebgetang, has pledged to personally monitor the progress of work on the proposed 24-Hour Market project in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region to ensure its successful completion and long-term benefit to the people.
The respected traditional ruler made the commitment during an engagement with stakeholders and community members, where he emphasized the importance of the project in boosting local economic activities, creating jobs and improving livelihoods within the district.
According to the Paramount Chief, the 24-Hour Market project has the potential to transform commerce and trade in Talensi by providing traders, farmers and artisans with a reliable and modern market environment capable of supporting business activities day and night.
Tongraan Kugbilsong Nalebgetang noted that development projects often face delays and implementation challenges, stressing that his decision to personally monitor the progress of work is aimed at ensuring accountability, quality execution and timely delivery of the project.
He assured residents that the traditional authority remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote economic growth and improve the welfare of the people of Talensi.
The Paramount Chief further called on contractors, government officials and all stakeholders involved in the project to work diligently and transparently to ensure that the market meets the expectations of the people.
