The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Hon. Isaac Adongo, has commenced a free dry season tractor ploughing programme to support farmers in the constituency as preparations for dry season farming intensify.
The initiative, designed to reduce production costs and enhance agricultural productivity, has already been rolled out in the Yikene, Kulbia and Amogrebisi electoral areas. Farmers in these communities are currently benefiting from the free land preparation services.
To ensure broader coverage and timely support, four tractors have been deployed under the programme. Operations will continue across the remaining electoral areas of the constituency in the coming period.
The intervention forms part of Hon. Adongo’s ongoing efforts to promote agriculture, increase food production and improve the livelihoods of farmers within Bolgatanga Central.
Farmers in areas yet to be covered are encouraged to prepare their lands and contact the relevant coordinators to facilitate the smooth implementation of the exercise.
