Family of Madam Elizabeth Assibi Kanluke Expresses Profound Gratitude to Mourners and Well-Wishers

The family of the late Madam Elizabeth Assibi Kanluke, of Janania and the Bogobiri Family of Navrongo, has expressed deep appreciation to the numerous individuals, traditional authorities, institutions, political leaders, and communities who stood with them during their time of grief.

In a statement issued after the burial and funeral rites, the family described the overwhelming show of love, solidarity, and support as a powerful reminder of the life, legacy, and relationships Madam Kanluke cultivated during her lifetime.

Despite unavoidable space limitations, the family made special mention of several dignitaries and groups whose presence and contributions were deeply felt. These include the *Navro Pio, the **Chiana Pio, the **Bawku Naaba, the **Gbandaan of Sakote, the *Sirike Galadima of Bimbila, as well as chiefs and elders from Janania, Nangalkinia, Doba, Boli in the Savannah Region, and other traditional areas across the country.

The family also acknowledged the *Catholic Bishop and the entire Seven Sorrows Basilica Catholic Community, alongside the *Hebrew-Israelites Community in Ghana, for their prayers, spiritual guidance, and unwavering support throughout the funeral period.

Gratitude was further extended to distinguished traditional leaders from Akyem Adadientam and Akyem Okorase, including *Baffour Ɔdefoɔ Boamah Darko, **Baffour Kwadwo Adu, **Baffour Nana Aboagye Ababio, **Baffour Kofi Afranie, and *Baffour Kwasi Afrifa, whose presence symbolised national unity and respect.

On the political front, the family expressed appreciation to the *NDC General Secretary, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the **Majority Leader and MP for Bawku Central, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, the **Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Donatus Akamugri Atanga, the *North East Regional Minister, Hon. Abraham Tia, and several Members of Parliament and government officials from across regions.

Special recognition was also given to the leadership and staff of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), including the Board, Executive Management, all sixteen Regional Directors, and staff nationwide, for their institutional support and solidarity.

The family further thanked officials of state institutions, legal practitioners, party executives of the National Democratic Congress at regional and constituency levels, Metropolitan and Municipal Chief Executives, civil society organisations, professional colleagues, friends, and sympathisers too numerous to mention individually.

According to the family, the prayers, presence, words of comfort, and acts of kindness offered during this period of mourning will forever remain etched in their hearts.

“We are sincerely grateful for the compassion shown to us. Your support strengthened us, and we do not take it for granted,” the statement concluded.

The family prayed for God’s blessings upon all who shared in their sorrow and honoured the memory of Madam Elizabeth Assibi Kanluke.
