GHANAIAN TOURISM Vlogger TO PRESENT TRADITIONAL FUGU TO FIVE PSG GOAL SCORERS

Dennis Apusika, a Ghanaian tourism blogger, vlogger, and Founder of VisitBolga, as well as a passionate supporter of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has announced plans to present traditional Ghanaian Fugu garments to the five PSG players who scored during the UEFA Champions League Final against Arsenal.

Prior to the match, Mr. Apusika publicly pledged to honour each PSG goal scorer with a handcrafted Fugu, one of Ghana’s most iconic and culturally significant traditional garments. Following PSG’s victory, the players selected to receive the gifts are Ousmane Dembélé, Gonçalo Ramos, Désiré Doué, Achraf Hakimi, and Lucas Beraldo.
The initiative seeks to promote cultural exchange, tourism development, and international friendship between Ghana and France through the unifying power of football.

“The Fugu is more than a garment; it embodies the identity, heritage, creativity, and resilience of the Ghanaian people. Through this symbolic gesture, we aim to share Ghana’s rich cultural heritage with these outstanding footballers while fostering Ghana–France cultural diplomacy through sporting excellence,” Mr. Apusika stated.

As part of the process, Mr. Apusika intends to engage Paris Saint-Germain, the French diplomatic mission in Ghana, and Ghana’s diplomatic mission in France to facilitate the official presentation of the garments.

The initiative is expected to attract international attention to Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, particularly the renowned Fugu tradition of Northern Ghana, while strengthening people-to-people ties and promoting greater cultural understanding between Ghana and France.

Fugu is a distinguished handwoven traditional garment originating from Northern Ghana. Widely recognized as a symbol of pride, identity, and craftsmanship, it represents the rich cultural heritage of the Ghanaian people and continues to serve as an important cultural ambassador on the global stage.
