The Member of Parliament for Isaac Adongo, Hon. Isaac Adongo, joined hundreds of enthusiastic football fans and community members at the grand finale of the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta – Eidul-Adha Edition 2026, held at the Bolgatanga Central Mobile Park.
The colorful sporting event, which brought together eight competitive football teams from across the constituency, formed part of efforts aimed at promoting youth development, unity, and peaceful coexistence within the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
In demonstrating his continued commitment to empowering the youth through sports and community engagement, Hon. Adongo sponsored the tournament with a total support package valued at GHC 23,000, alongside footballs and jerseys for participating teams.
The MP’s contribution covered appearance fees for all participating teams, logistical and organizational support, officiating allowances, as well as prizes for outstanding teams in the competition.
The support package included:
- GHC 1,000 appearance fee for each of the eight participating teams, totaling GHC 8,000.
- One football for every participating team.
- A set of jerseys for each semi-finalist team.
- GHC 5,000 to support the organization of the tournament.
- GHC 5,000 for officiating officials.
- GHC 3,000 cash prize for the winners.
- GHC 2,000 cash prize for the second runners-up.
Speaking during the finals, Hon. Adongo commended the organizers and participating teams for ensuring a peaceful and entertaining tournament. He noted that sports remain a powerful tool for uniting communities, nurturing young talents, and promoting discipline among the youth.
According to him, events such as the Ramadan Soccer Fiesta help strengthen social cohesion while creating opportunities for young people to showcase their abilities and build lasting relationships within the community.
The tournament attracted a large crowd of supporters, football lovers, opinion leaders, and residents, creating an atmosphere of excitement and celebration throughout the event.
Hon. Adongo reaffirmed his dedication to initiatives that positively impact the lives of young people and contribute to the overall development of the constituency.
