Championing Development in Bolga Central Constituency – Friends of Prosper.

Friends of Prosper, a socio-political group, has reaffirmed its commitment to championing development in the Bolga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region.

Speaking in an interview on The Breakfast Show on Bluewaves Radio with Harisu Laminu, members of the group explained that their formation is driven by a shared desire to support growth and improve living conditions across the constituency. According to the group, although it bears the name “Prosper,” its primary focus goes beyond any one individual.

“The group may carry the name Prosper, but our mission is to promote development in our constituency,” a representative stated. “Prosper is an executive member, and our vision aligns with his, which is why we adopted the name Friends of Prosper.”

The group also highlighted several community-based initiatives it has undertaken since its formation. These include the drilling of boreholes to improve access to clean water, payment of school fees for underprivileged students, and the renovation of school buildings in deprived communities.

Recounting one of their interventions, the group noted that they encountered a school where children were studying in severely dilapidated structures with leaking and unsafe roofs. Moved by the situation, members of the group pooled their resources to renovate and reroof the building, creating a safer and more conducive learning environment for the pupils.

Friends of Prosper emphasized that it remains dedicated to identifying critical needs within the constituency and mobilizing support to address them, with the ultimate goal of driving sustainable development in Bolga Central.
