Adongo Secures Accommodation for Two Newly Posted Doctors in Bolgatanga Municipality

The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo, has taken swift action to address accommodation challenges facing two newly posted medical doctors in the Bolgatanga Municipality.

Speaking during his ongoing project inspection tour in Sumbrungu, the MP revealed that he has rented two residential facilities to house the doctors, who were at risk of leaving their posts due to the lack of accommodation.

According to Mr. Adongo, the intervention followed concerns raised about the situation, which threatened to undermine healthcare delivery in the municipality.

“Two newly posted doctors did not have accommodation and were considering leaving. I have since rented two houses for them to ensure they remain and continue to serve the people,” he stated.

He further disclosed that while the immediate challenge has been addressed, plans are underway to provide a permanent solution through the construction of dedicated accommodation for doctors in the constituency.

Mr. Adongo emphasized that improving conditions for healthcare professionals is key to strengthening the local health system, noting that access to decent housing plays a critical role in attracting and retaining skilled personnel.

The move is expected to enhance healthcare service delivery in the municipality, as efforts continue to ensure that medical professionals are adequately supported to serve the community effectively.
