BOLGATANGA — The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 3rd National Vice Chairman, Alhaji Masawudu Osman, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, has appealed to delegates in the Upper East Region to support his bid to become the party’s next 1st National Vice Chairman.
Alhaji Masawudu, who is currently campaigning for the position, made the appeal during his campaign tour of the Upper East Region, where he also engaged listeners during a discussion on Bluewaves Radio.
Making a case for his candidacy, he pointed to his experience and contribution to the party, arguing that his record demonstrates his ability to help the NPP strengthen its structures and work towards regaining political power.
«“When things became difficult, and though I stood up for the party,” he said, while highlighting his commitment to the NPP during challenging periods.»
According to Alhaji Masawudu, the position of 1st National Vice Chairman requires a person who commands integrity, respect and experience within the party.
He said he believes his years of service and experience within the NPP place him in a strong position to take up the responsibility.
The NPP figure subsequently called on delegates in the Upper East Region to give him their support in the upcoming internal election.
“I am from the Upper East, Bawku to be specific, and I know the Upper East Region will listen to me and vote me into office,” he said.
Alhaji Masawudu Osman currently serves as the NPP’s 3rd National Vice Chairman, a position he obtained after the party’s 2022 National Delegates Conference. Official NPP records list him alongside the party’s other national executives.
His campaign in the Upper East Region forms part of his broader efforts to secure support from delegates ahead of the party’s national executive elections.
