Konzabre Pledges to Honour Party Cadres and Strengthen Diaspora Links if Elected NDC Regional Secretary

James Gbandan Konzabre, NDC Regional Secretary aspirant for the Upper East Region, has pledged to prioritise recognition of long serving party cadres and improve data on members living abroad if elected.
On the Vom Y3lla Show on Bluewaves Radio, the Talensi District native said a party that fails to honour its heroes will find those heroes unwilling to continue sacrificing for it. He noted that many elderly cadres who worked for the NDC are often forgotten once they grow old.
“Recognition is sometimes not about giving huge monetary rewards. Even a simple plaque is enough,” he said, adding that he would also compile a profile of businessmen and women who support the party so they are not contacted only when power is being sought.
Konzabre further announced plans to build a proper database of party members in the diaspora, saying the region currently lacks reliable information on who they are and how they can contribute.
On local development, he pointed to progress in Talensi, including the road contract from Tongo through Sheega to Duusi, the completion of the long abandoned E-block at Yameriga, and the re-gravelling of feeder roads. He expressed optimism that another NDC term would take the area to a higher level, while acknowledging ongoing security challenges linked to gold mining.
He said his focus as Regional Secretary would be to strengthen the youth, women’s, Zongo, international and communication wings of the party.
