The Talensi District Chief Executive, John Millim Nabwomya, has issued a strong caution to contractors and consultants to uphold high standards as construction begins on the Yameriga E-Block boarding facilities.
The project, which comprises multiple infrastructure components including dormitories, staff housing, and administrative facilities, is set to transform the school into a modern boarding institution.
Addressing stakeholders during the sod-cutting ceremony, Hon. Nabwomya stressed the importance of quality workmanship and timely delivery.
“We will not tolerate shoddy work. Contractors must deliver according to specifications and within the stipulated timeframe,” he warned.
The DCE also revealed that plans are underway to operationalize the school by September this year, highlighting the urgency attached to the project.
He expressed appreciation to John Dramani Mahama for prioritizing the Talensi District, as well as the collaborative efforts between his office and the Member of Parliament, Daniel Dung Mahama, which made the project possible.
Hon. Nabwomya described the initiative as a symbol of hope and progress for the people of Talensi, urging the local community to support the contractors to ensure successful completion.
Community members, led by Assemblyman Hon. Alexander Yinbil, expressed gratitude to government for reviving the long-abandoned project and bringing meaningful development to Yameriga.
