The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo, has inspected an abandoned Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Tindonmolgo, a project initiated under the previous administration and funded by the Northern Development Authority.
The facility, which was intended to improve access to primary healthcare services for residents, remains incomplete, raising concerns among community members about delayed healthcare delivery in the area.
Addressing the media after the inspection, Hon. Adongo expressed disappointment over the stalled project and called on both the Northern Development Authority and the Ministry of Health Ghana to take immediate steps to ensure its completion.
He stressed the critical role CHPS compounds play in delivering essential healthcare at the community level, particularly in underserved areas, and urged the relevant authorities to prioritize the project for the benefit of the people of Tindonmolgo.
Residents are hopeful that the intervention will lead to the timely completion and operationalization of the facility to improve healthcare access in the community.
