Bolgatanga, Upper East Region — September 18, 2026:
Hon. Muniru Ayouka, a long-standing activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Vice Chairman of the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
In his declaration, Mr. Ayouka highlighted his years of service to the party, describing his political journey as one shaped by commitment, sacrifice, teamwork and grassroots engagement.
According to him, leadership should not be defined merely by the occupation of a position but by the willingness to serve, create opportunities, strengthen organisational structures and bring people together.
Mr. Ayouka pointed to his previous experience as Deputy Constituency Organizer, a role in which he said he contributed to party activities, grassroots mobilisation, organisational programmes and efforts to strengthen the constituency’s structures.
He said the experience had deepened his understanding of the importance of teamwork, consultation, loyalty, patience and effective leadership.
“I come before you not as someone new to service, but as a tested and experienced party activist seeking the opportunity to serve at a higher level,” he stated.
Explaining his motivation for seeking the Vice Chairman position, Mr. Ayouka said he believes he still has more to contribute to the party and the constituency.
He said his vision is to contribute to building a constituency organisation where members feel valued, branches are strengthened and party structures are adequately prepared to pursue the party’s objectives.
Mr. Ayouka subsequently appealed to delegates, party members and supporters for their prayers, support and mandate as he seeks to advance his political career within the constituency.
“Experience has prepared me. Service has tested me. Your mandate will empower me to do more,” he said.
The declaration marks the beginning of Mr. Ayouka’s campaign to become the next Constituency Vice Chairman of the NDC in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency.
